On-Site Rock Crushing & Rock Work in the Texas Hill Country
Turn the rock already on your property into base for roads and pads, instead of trucking material in and spoil out.
Hill Country land comes with rock. You can fight it, or you can put it to work.
Tierra Linda Services handles rock removal, retaining wall and building pad prep, and on-site rock crushing that turns the rock already on your property into usable base material for roads and pads. That means less material trucked in, less spoil hauled out, and ground that’s ready for grass, landscaping, or building.

Use the Rock You Already Have
On one new build, the yard was a jungle of brush, rock, and spoil piles. We cleared the cedar to open the views, excavated rock slabs for a driveway extension, used the spoils to build a retaining wall that expanded the yard, and rock-crushed the whole area to prep it for landscaping. Very little left the property, and the homeowner gained usable yard.
Smaller jobs work the same way. A quick crushing pass can turn rocky ground into a surface ready for seed before the spring rains.

Why Crush On Site
- Less hauling. Rock that would be trucked off becomes material you use.
- Less material to buy. Crushed rock can replace some or all of the base you would otherwise bring in.
- Usable ground. Rocky areas become surfaces ready for grass, landscaping, roads, or pads.
What Affects the Cost of Rock Work
- Size of the area and how much rock is there
- Type and hardness of the rock
- Whether rock is crushed in place or excavated first
- What the finished surface needs to be: lawn prep, road base, or building pad
- Access for equipment

Yes. Crushing the rock down creates a surface that can be seeded or landscaped.
Can you build retaining walls?
Yes. We build retaining walls using rock and spoils already on the property to level or expand usable areas.
